If you are starting your own little woodworking adventure- and went to the local hardware store- you probably got a headache from all different tools and equipment that is being sold there. Different shapes, sizes and prices. Different manufacturers. And you most probably left without buying anything, instead, having more doubts about if this "path" is really for you.
First of all, if you are a beginner, don't bother wasting a sh*tload of money on all kinds of different equipment. Focus on what you need for your first project and buy only these things. Do the same with the second project. And the third. This way, you won't waste your money on equipment you will never use and learn the skill of mastering each piece of your equipment step-by-step. Before you know it, you have a fair amount of tools, which you have already used and are familiar with, to take on new projects without the hassle of buying new tools or having to learn using them.
Don't know what your first project will be? Click here to buy Woodworking4Home, a collection of thousands of woodworking projects and plans presented in an easy step-by-step manner.
